About the role

Join our Digital Merchandising team and play a key role in driving the online growth of our Car Parts category and 3rd-party vendor ranges across Halfords’ retail sites. Reporting to the Digital Merchandising Manager – Extended Range, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our products are presented online with accuracy, impact, and excellence  - from imagery and content to attribution and availability.

You’ll support the optimisation of customer journeys to boost conversion, average order value, and product attachment rates, while helping customers find the right products and advice with ease. Key responsibilities

  • Act as a digital merchandising expert for Retail products across Car Parts and Extended Range, driving sales, AOV, and conversion across Halfords.com and Halfords.ie.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Digital Trading Manager, CRO, and commercial teams to analyse web and commercial performance data, identify opportunities, and recommend performance-improving strategies.
  • Support new product and range setups, ensuring accurate product information, imagery, and attribution, while maintaining competitiveness and timely online launches.
  • Participate in regular category and trading meetings, sharing insights on online performance, sales trends, and customer behaviour to influence decision-making.
  • Partner with Marketing and SEO teams to optimise product pages for search visibility, ensuring keyword-rich and relevant content across both websites.
  • Continuously assess and improve the customer journey and digital user experience, using insights from tools such as ContentSquare and Medallia to enhance digital NPS.
  • Coordinate and implement planned and reactive campaigns or promotional updates, ensuring site merchandising aligns with trading priorities.
  • Provide input into digital development releases, contributing ideas focused on improving user experience and conversion.
  • Produce and circulate weekly and periodic retail performance reports, highlighting key trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Support the wider digital merchandising team with training, toolkits, and best-practice standards, offering additional assistance during peak trading periods.
